Rumors are swirling that Apple’s first foldable iPhone might not carry the name “Fold,” as suggested by some media outlets. According to Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, the device could be branded as “iPhone Ultra.” This move would follow a pattern of Apple using the “Ultra” moniker for premium products, such as the Apple Watch Ultra and CarPlay Ultra.
If Apple adopts this branding, it’s not the first time they’ve used it. The company already uses the label for high-end products like MacBook Pros with M1 Ultra chips and future AirPods models with cameras. Digital Chat Station claims that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone with an 5.3- to 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner screen, along with features like dual-lens rear cameras.
The device’s release is expected later this year, between September and December. However, it’s essential to note that the details remain unconfirmed, as Digital Chat Station has a track record of accurately leaking Apple-related information.
