Ubisoft has released the latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, bringing a range of fan-requested features and improvements to visual fidelity on PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.
The 1.0.2 update introduces the “follow path” option, which allows mounts to automatically follow roads when enabled, and increases horse speeds in cities. Players can also now reset Mastery Nodes in Naoe and Yasuke’s skill trees, making it easier to try out different playstyles. The patch also adds a time-saving feature that lets players quickly access the Investigation Board by holding down the Option button.
In addition to these features, the update includes PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements such as PSSR (Performance-Style Raytracing) and Raytraced Specular support in Balanced mode, which brings visual fidelity closer to PS5 Pro’s Quality mode. The patch also removes the 30fps frame rate cap in Performance mode on consoles and includes various bug fixes.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has received positive reviews, with over 2 million players signing up within its first couple of days. The game’s creative director, Jonathon Dumont, has confirmed that Ubisoft is “always listening” to fan feedback and is actively working to address player concerns.
