ASUS ROG Xbox Ally & X Set to Launch on October 16

Microsoft’s highly-anticipated gaming console, the ROG Xbox Ally and its premium counterpart, the ROG Xbox Ally X, are expected to release in European markets on October 16. According to a known data miner at Dealabs, Billbill-kun, the devices will launch during Gamescom later this month with pre-orders opening on August 20.

The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at €599, while the Xbox Ally X will cost €899. Both devices will feature Windows 11 Home and share similarities in design, including 7” FHD displays, HD haptics, and 6-Axis IMU technology.

Specs-wise, the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X differ mainly by their processors: the Ally uses an AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor, while the X features the more powerful Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor. The Ally X boasts 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory compared to the Ally’s 16GB.

The ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X are expected to be released in other regions, including North America, on the same date as their European launch. Microsoft has not confirmed the release date yet, so some skepticism is warranted until further confirmation is provided by Insider Gaming or other reputable sources.

Xbox’s upcoming stream during Gamescom will provide more details about the devices, but for now, fans can look forward to these gaming consoles hitting stores in October.
