Asus Unveils Ascent GX10 AI Supercomputer at $2999

Asus has launched its own mini AI supercomputer, the Ascent GX10, priced at $2999. The device comes equipped with Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, a powerful chip designed for AI processing and high-performance computing.

The Ascent GX10 promises 1000 TOPS (tera-ops per second) of AI processing power, making it suitable for handling large-scale models with up to 200 billion parameters. The device is compact, with 128GB of unified memory, and features a 20-core Grace Arm CPU that speeds up data processing and orchestration.

This new AI supercomputer is designed to bring high-performance computing directly to developers, researchers, and data scientists. It can handle local AI workloads, making it easier to prototype, fine-tune, and run large models without relying on cloud or data center resources.

The Ascent GX10 also includes an integrated ConnectX network interface, allowing for seamless collaboration between multiple units. Two GX10 devices can be linked together to handle even larger models, such as the 405 billion parameter Llama 3.1 model.

Asus plans to make the Ascent GX10 available for pre-order in Q2 2025, with pricing details yet to be confirmed. The device comes with less storage than Nvidia’s DGX Spark ($3999) but similar performance.
