Atari has acquired intellectual property rights to five games from Ubisoft and plans to re-release these titles on new platforms under its publishing label. The acquired games span from 2005 to 2016, including Cold Fear, I Am Alive, Child of Eden, Grow Home, and Grow Up.
The company aims to expand the reach of these titles through updated formats, new content, and extended distribution channels. Atari plans to reintroduce the games while looking for ways to evolve the franchises.
Deborah Papiernik, Vice President of New Business at Atari, said that millions of players have experienced these worlds over the years, and this move will allow long-time players to revisit their memories while introducing new audiences to discover them for the first time.
This acquisition represents a collaboration between Atari and Ubisoft to make previously published titles available to new audiences.
