Millions of AT&T customers are eligible for a $177 million settlement after two massive data breaches exposed their private information in recent years. The Kroll Settlement Administration is handling the claims, and Pennsylvania residents can check their eligibility online.
Two large-scale data breaches, announced in March and July 2024, affected 7.6 million current and 65.4 million former account owners, and a total of 73 million customers had their private information revealed. The settlements stem from a class action lawsuit against AT&T, which has denied any wrongdoing.
Eligible claimants can receive up to $5,000 or $2,500 for the two data breaches, depending on the level of documented loss. For those affected by both breaches, there is an overlap settlement class member who may be eligible for compensation. The deadline to submit a claim is November 18, 2025.
To submit a claim, visit Kroll’s website or mail the completed form to the address provided. If you don’t take action and are eligible, you won’t receive payment. AT&T has agreed to make available two settlement funds: $149 million for the first data incident in March 2024, and $28 million for the second data incident in July 2024.
A final approval hearing is scheduled for December 3, 2025, where disbursements can be sent to affected customers once the settlement is approved.
