Indie film director Jeff Baena, who recently passed away by suicide, had reportedly made “concerning remarks” to his wife Aubrey Plaza just months before his death. According to a new report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Plaza received a text message from Baena on the day of his death and was told that he had started therapy due to marital difficulties. The couple had been experiencing issues for several months leading up to his death, but their secret wedding in 2021 seemed to have brought them closer together. Plaza recently made her first public appearance since Baena’s passing, wearing a tie-dye shirt in honor of him.
