In one of the most crucial games of the 2024-2025 college basketball season, the Tigers’ victory sent a strong message about their chances in the upcoming SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament.
Auburn’s dominance was highlighted by its balanced attack, with six players scoring double digits, led by Johni Broome’s 19 points, Denver Jones’ 16 points, and Miles Kelly’s 15 points. The Tigers also showcased impressive shooting from beyond the arc, connecting on 12 of their 30 three-point attempts.
The Crimson Tide struggled to find its rhythm from the field, hitting just 27 of 70 shots at a 38.6% clip, while Auburn finished with 13 assists and limited Alabama’s scoring opportunities. The Tigers’ freshman standout Tahaad Pettiford continued his impressive form, chipping in 13 points.
