Australian Survivor Star Wins $5.8 Million on ‘Deal or No Deal Island’

Australian model and reality TV star David Genat made history by winning the most money ever awarded on a reality TV show, taking home $5.8 million after accepting the banker’s final offer on the Season 2 finale of “Deal or No Deal Island”. The victory also broke franchise records, with Genat emerging triumphant over runner-up Alexis Lete during the final challenge.

Genat’s strategy relied on his instincts and faith, as he repeatedly turned down nearly every deal and successfully opened case after case. Despite his castmates’ pleas to take the banker’s offer, Genat refused to settle, ultimately winning a spot in the final round.

The Australian Survivor winner credited his social game to his success on the show, citing the importance of building strong relationships with contestants to stay ahead in the competition. Genat won $5.8 million after accepting the banker’s final offer, making him the first-ever player to win such a large sum on the franchise.

Genat, 45, is also an Australian model and Jiu-Jitsu black belt, widely regarded as the “Golden God of ‘Survivor Australia.'” The reality TV star has been married to fitness aficionado Pearl Christensen for over a decade and shares four children with his ex-wife Kathleen.
