AutoFill Feature Expanded for One-Time Codes on iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe

Apple is expanding its AutoFill feature to include one-time verification codes from third-party apps on iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe. The feature can automatically fill in codes from apps like Google Voice, allowing users to quickly verify their accounts without manually typing the code.

Previously, the AutoFill feature only worked with codes from Apple’s Messages app on iPhone and limited browsers on Mac. However, the software updates will bring this functionality to all users when they are released later this year.

iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe are currently available in developer beta, and public betas will be rolled out next month. The updates will include a new design language called “Liquid Glass” that will be applied across Apple’s platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

This expansion of the AutoFill feature is seen as a quality-of-life improvement for users, making it easier to manage their accounts without manual input. With the release of these software updates, Apple aims to provide a more streamlined and efficient user experience.
