Amazon MGM Studios film follows a college professor forced to confront her dark past after a student accuses one of her colleagues. The movie, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Julia Roberts, stars Andrew Garfield as the colleague accused of misconduct.
Luca Guadagnino brought his cast together at CinemaCon to tease the upcoming thriller “After the Hunt”, which hits select theaters on October 10 before expanding nationwide. The film is based on a script by Nora Garrett and produced by Guadagnino, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum.
The trailer showcases the tense relationship between a college professor (Roberts) and her student (Ayo Edebiri), who accuses one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield) of misconduct. The movie follows the professor as she is forced to confront her dark past and make difficult choices.
Joining Roberts in the cast are Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny, marking Guadagnino’s reunion with Amazon MGM Studios after his recent film “Challengers”. Roberts recently starred in Universal’s romantic comedy “Ticket to Paradise” alongside George Clooney and Netflix thriller “Leave the World Behind”, which co-starred Mahershala Ali and Ethan Hawke.
