A newborn baby boy nearly bled to death after receiving a circumcision in a cardiac neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Cole Groth, born on March 31 with a known heart disease, was undergoing a routine circumcision when complications arose.
The parents had consented to the procedure, unaware of the increased risks of congenital heart disease (CHD). Upon arrival at the hospital the next day, they were shocked to see their son in a critical state, severely pale and bleeding. Cole suffered extensive damage to his vital organs, requiring multiple transfusions and surgeries over the past week. The Groths are seeking answers as to how this devastating incident could have occurred in a specialized medical facility.
