MotoGP rider Francesco Bagnaia has admitted that winning the championship is now “impossible” for him after his disappointing fourth-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. The Italian rider, who started the race strong and battled with Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez for the lead, struggled with issues on his Ducati bike throughout the event.
Bagnaia’s struggles with the front end of his bike have plagued him since the start of the season, and he admitted that if he continues to ride like this, it will be difficult for him to win. The Italian rider is now 110 points behind leader Marc Marquez in the championship standings.
Despite his struggles, Bagnaia remains confident that he can still fight for podiums and wins, but admits that changing something on the bike or finding a new solution is necessary if he wants to have any hope of catching up in the championship.
With the Italian GP out of the way, Bagnaia will look to regroup and refocus his efforts for the next event. Can he find a way to overcome his bike issues and make a push for the championship title? Only time will tell.
