Barcelona staged an incredible comeback to beat La Liga title rivals Atlético Madrid 4-2 and reclaim top spot in the table. The hosts took the lead just before halftime through Julián Alvarez, but Diego Simeone’s side equalized midway through the second half.
Atlético doubled their advantage with substitute Alexander Sørloth scoring a stunning close-range finish, only for Barcelona to level after Robert Lewandowski headed home from Iñigo Martinez’s cross. Ferran Torres then gave Barça the lead for the first time with a header in the 78th minute before Lamine Yamal put the visitors ahead in stoppage time.
However, Torres sealed the win with his second goal of the night to leave Barcelona on 60 points and level with Real Madrid on points. The teams will meet again in the Copa del Rey semi-finals after the first leg ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
