Barcelona’s Hansi Flick was thrilled with his team’s 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid, sending them to the top of La Liga. The Catalans came from behind to score four goals in the final 20 minutes, stunning Diego Simeone’s side.
Atletico led 2-0 before Barcelona made their late surge. Ferran Torres scored twice after coming on as a substitute, leaving Flick proud of his performance and that of the squad.
“Ferran is fantastic,” Flick said. “He trains well and gives 100 percent.” The manager praised the entire team’s work rate, saying it was a great situation to have multiple players training at a high level.
With this win, Barcelona will now head off on international duty for two weeks before facing Girona at the end of March.
