Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins is set to helm a new sci-fi thriller titled “The Natural Order,” starring Glen Powell. The project, based on Matthew Aldrich’s unpublished manuscript, follows the pursuit of eternal life. Universal preemptively acquired the rights and has partnered with Jenkins’ production company Barnstorm for an upcoming film deal. This collaboration marks the first project produced by Jenkins under his new partnership with Universal, which aims to produce more films alongside top talent like Glen Powell. The film will be produced by Jenkins, Aldrich, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak, and Jewerl Keats Ross through their joint production banner, Pastel.
