Battlefield 6 Beta Sees Huge Success Ahead of Launch

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced a “wave of content” for Battlefield 2042 from August 18 to October 7, the launch day of Battlefield 6. This includes a free new pass celebrating the legacy of Battlefield, new hardware drops, and a reimagined Iwo Jima map.

Progressing through the ‘Road to Battlefield 6’ pass will grant players exclusive cross-rewards, with 20 ready for release on October 7th. The rewards include the KFS2000, LYNX sniper rifle, and unvaulted attack jets A10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot.

Additionally, a recent leak suggests two unreleased maps may be larger than previously played ones, indicating a significant launch for Battlefield 6 in October. Despite changes to Rush mode following fan feedback, the open beta has received positive reviews, with large concurrent figures on Steam.

Veteran gaming journalist Vikki Blake praises the game’s multiplayer as “sublime” and “cinematically quality,” saying it might be the most fun shooter of the year, despite being in beta form.
