Battlefield veterans have expressed concerns over the size of maps in the ongoing Beta for Battlefield 6. However, recent leaks have alleviated these worries as two large-scale maps have been discovered, confirming that DICE’s previous statement about massive maps is true.
Datamined by the 1BF group from Battlefield Labs, the leaked images reveal Mirak Valley and Eastwood, which are expected to be part of the game’s final version. Mirak Valley is confirmed to be the largest map at launch, with a vast mountain range on both sides and a riverbed in the middle. In contrast, Eastwood takes place in an elite residential area of California, featuring a golf course, large villa, and ruined houses.
These massive maps are expected to be part of Season 1 and come with new vehicles, including a golf cart and boat. Although the leak is not official confirmation, most datamined information from Battlefield Labs appears legitimate.
The leaked maps have been superimposed on Siege of Cairo to demonstrate their size, which dwarfs the latter significantly. Mirak Valley quadruples Cairo’s area, while Eastwood more than doubles it. DICE has confirmed that these large-scale maps will be available in the game’s final version.
As a live service game, Battlefield 6 is expected to receive new maps, modes, and updates post-launch for free. Fans are hoping for further adjustments to the HUD and UI, as some have expressed concerns over their current design. The release of massive maps should alleviate these worries and provide a more immersive gaming experience.
