Electronic Arts (EA) has announced the release date of its highly anticipated “Battlefield 6” game as October 10. The move comes after Take-Two Interactive’s Rockstar shifted the previously scheduled launch window to next May.
According to EA Entertainment president Laura Miele, the company worked closely with its team to avoid distractions and focus on delivering an excellent gaming experience. Miele stated that EA considered various scenarios but remained committed to releasing “Battlefield 6” this fall, ensuring it wouldn’t be compromised by external factors.
The new “Battlefield 6” release date marks a significant shift in strategy for the company, which has been working on its upcoming multiplayer offering for “The Sims” franchise. Miele confirmed that the game represents one of the biggest growth opportunities for EA and will feature upgrades to technology, new modes, and mobile expressions.
In addition to “Battlefield 6,” Miele discussed EA’s plans for other titles, including the upcoming “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 3” game, a large-scale mobile title “Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes,” and an “Iron Man” video game. The company aims to maintain a balanced portfolio while forging its future in massive online communities.
Miele emphasized that EA is committed to delivering high-quality experiences for its fans, with the release of the “Sims” movie expected to bring significant opportunities for tie-ins and adaptations.
