Electronic Arts’ publisher for Battlefield 6 has made changes to Rush mode in an effort to balance gameplay between attacking and defending players. The change comes as the game’s Open Beta Weekend 2 is live, running from August 15 to August 17.
In the Rush mode, players must destroy military communications – or MCOMs – by either using a heavy explosive assault or placing a bomb. However, critics argue that the current setup has problems, particularly with the timer for placing bombs. The original 45-second delay has been reduced to 30 seconds, but other issues remain.
Players have complained about uneven spacing between MCOM objectives and spawn points, resulting in poor gameplay experiences on maps like Iberian, Empire, and Siege of Cairo. Some have even suggested disabling Rush mode until it’s properly balanced.
EA acknowledges the cheating issue in Battlefield 6 and is working to combat it. In a statement, the publisher reported that its anti-cheat measures have prevented over 330,000 attempts to cheat or tamper with controls. However, players continue to report instances of cheating, highlighting the need for ongoing efforts to address this issue.
