Bayern Munich Move Nine Points Clear in Bundesliga as Jamal Musiala Injury Raises Concerns

Bayern Munich bounced back from a goal down to beat 10-man Augsburg 3-1 away on Friday, moving nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. However, their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Inter next week may be compromised due to an injury to Jamal Musiala, who equalized before being forced off.

Bayern took the lead through Dimitris Gianoulis’s strike but ran out of steam after Cedric Zesiger was sent off. The visitors then scored two more goals, including a deflected own goal from Chrislain Matsima, to seal the win.

Bayer Leverkusen, who are nine points behind Bayern, face Heidenheim on Saturday in their game in hand. Espanyol, meanwhile, moved up to 15th place with a 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, thanks in part to two early goals from Leandro Cabrera and Roberto Fernández.

Genoa earned a 1-0 victory over Udinese in Serie A, extending their unbeaten home run to six games. Nantes also claimed a crucial 2-1 win over Nice in Ligue 1, moving closer to European football next season with the loss.
