A lifelong passion for science and discovery has led Arlington native Becks Padrusch to a dream job at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School genetics laboratory. From childhood trips to Boston’s Museum of Science, where they marveled at animal organs and chicken hatchings, to their current role as research associate, Padrusch’s journey is one of wonder and fascination. The 5-year-old who once begged bedtime stories about the solar system now studies how organisms evolve and react to molecules in a lab setting, rekindling childhood feelings of awe and excitement.
