A recall has been issued for whole fresh cucumbers grown by Bedner Growers Inc. and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales Inc. between April 29, 2025, and May 19, 2025. The affected cucumbers may have been sold individually or in smaller packages and labeled as “supers,” “selects,” or “plains.” These cucumbers are not organic varieties.
Consumers who purchased these cucumbers should not eat them. Instead, they should discard them immediately. If you have cucumbers at home and cannot identify their origin, throw them away.
If you’ve eaten cucumber products from this recall period, take precautions to avoid foodborne illness. Wash surfaces and items that may have come into contact with the affected cucumbers using hot soapy water or a dishwasher. Additionally, if you experience symptoms such as diarrhea, fever above 102°F, vomiting, dehydration, or signs of Salmonella infection, seek medical attention.
