Belal Muhammad Sees Middleweight Division as Easier Than Welterweight

UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad believes he has a tougher division than middleweight titleholder Dricus du Plessis. In an interview, Muhammad stated that if he were to challenge himself in the 185-pound weight class or against another champion, he would choose the latter.

Muhammad emphasized his desire to become double champion and mentioned that he is two fights away from being able to compete for the middleweight title. He believes that the 185-pound division is relatively easier than the welterweight division, which has seen him defeat five top-10 opponents already.

The welterweight champion’s comments come after an injury forced him out of his scheduled fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in December. Despite this setback, Muhammad remains focused on his goals and is expected to face another challenger later this year.
