Bell Edges Larson in Thrilling NASCAR Finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway

NASCAR driver Christopher Bell edged out Carson Hocevar and Kyle Larson in a thrilling overtime finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday. The 30-year-old Oklahoma driver led only the final lap in his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota before the caution light came on after a wreck by Josh Berry.

Bell has now secured his tenth career Cup Series victory, with his team claiming the spotlight once again. However, Larson’s misfortune continued as he failed to finish four of the past six Atlanta races and was involved in accidents at each of the six events.

Despite struggling throughout the season, Bell found his footing in the final stages of the race. “That last lap of the race we were at our best,” Bell said, reflecting on his team’s performance.

Larson, who qualified 17th for the event, managed to surge late but ultimately fell short. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott had a rough day, crashing out in the second stage and finishing 18th.

The NASCAR Cup Series will move on to Austin, Texas, and Circuit of the Americas next Sunday, with a multi-year deal announcement also revealed. Corey Heim has signed a new development driver deal with 23XI Racing, set to compete in limited Cup Series races starting at Kansas Speedway on May 11.
