Arizona news anchor Ana Orsini, 28, died ‘unexpectedly’ after suffering a brain aneurysm. Her colleagues at KOLD-TV 13 News shared the devastating news during a live broadcast.
Orsini was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018. She began her career as an anchor and reporter in Lubbock, Texas, before working in Medford, Oregon. Orsini later moved to southern Arizona where she worked with KOLD-TV 13 News.
Colleagues described Orsini as someone with “bottomless empathy” who stood up for the ‘little guy’. She was a mentor to her coworkers and had a passion for rescue animals. The news station remembered her fondly, wearing pink colors during the live broadcast in her honor.
Orsini’s family released a statement, hoping she would be remembered as a bright and sunny person. They encouraged viewers to donate to their local animal shelter in her memory.
News anchor Carsyn Currier posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, describing Orsini as “not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but also unlike anyone I’ve ever met.” She praised Orsini’s advocacy for animals, women’s rights, and being a loyal friend.
