Ben Stiller Reveals Severance Season 3 Release Date Will Come Soon

Ben Stiller has reassured fans of the science fiction thriller series Severance that they won’t have to wait three years for the next season’s release. The show’s second season finale is set to drop on Friday, and Stiller shared in an interview on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast that the plan is not to delay the third season as much as the second did.

Filming for the second season was delayed due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes. However, Stiller believes that Apple TV+ has changed since the series first dropped and now has more viewers, making it easier to find a suitable release date.

Stiller also discussed how directing has impacted him as an actor, stating that it’s made him admire actors more. The director, who helmed 11 of the 19 episodes of the second season, including the finale, talked about the show’s future and how they’re working on developing a writers room in Los Angeles for the third season.

While no official announcement has been made yet, Stiller implied that work on Season 3 is already underway. He emphasized the importance of taking the story where it needs to go and suggested that the season will follow as long as the narrative dictates.
