Bengals Make Moves Ahead of NFL Draft, Pursue Free Agent Fills

The Cincinnati Bengals are actively seeking to bolster their roster ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft. Following the signing of key players Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to long-term deals, the team is now focusing on free agency’s second wave.

According to Bengals.com, general manager Geoff Hobson believes the team will continue to pursue quality additions in the runup to the draft. Although Wave 2 of free agency often lacks high-profile signings, there are still talented players available who can provide starting-level contributions or rotational snaps.

The recent contracts with Chase and Higgins should help alleviate salary cap concerns. However, the Bengals still need to address several key positions. Notably, they must find a starter at right guard, as well as consider upgrades at cornerback and safety to replace Geno Stone. With Trey Hendrickson’s contract situation also requiring attention, the team’s next moves will be crucial in shaping their 2023 season.
