Bengals Receiver Mitchell Tinsley Wows in Preseason Opener

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Mitchell Tinsley impressed in Monday Night Football’s preseason game against the Washington Commanders, catching five passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. His performance caught the attention of analyst Joe Buck and former player Troy Aikman.

Tinsley’s impressive showing was highlighted by his two touchdown catches from Jake Browning during the second quarter. Buck exclaimed that Tinsley “is opening up some eyes” after his first TD grab, while Aikman noted that he has great body control and strong hands.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor praised Tinsley, saying he is a smart player who knows all positions. He also made Tinsley a captain for the team, highlighting his work ethic and ability to make plays. The Bengals signed Tinsley as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and re-signed him to a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season.

Tinsley’s performance suggests he could secure a spot on the Bengals’ roster this year. If not with Cincinnati, it will be somewhere else. Taylor emphasized that Tinsley has shown he can play at the NFL level, making him a valuable asset for the team.
