Bethesda Offers Free Fallout Content to Make Up for PSN Outage

Bethesda has announced a “Double SCORE” event in Fallout 76 from February 13 to February 17. This is in response to the recent PlayStation Network outage that affected both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, rendering players unable to access online functions or free games through PlayStation Plus.

To apologize for not being directly involved in the outage, Sony offered free days of PlayStation Plus. However, Bethesda has also jumped in to provide its own compensation to Fallout 76 players.

The “Double SCORE” event will give players a chance to earn more points and level up faster during this time. This is coinciding with a Double XP event that was originally planned before the outage.

Fallout 76 uses a points system called “SCORE,” which determines player progression and rewards. These rewards, such as Atom Credits or items for the player’s camp, can vary by season.

Although it may not be an extensive reward, Bethesda’s gesture is still appreciated, especially considering the impact of the outage on gaming communities.
