Beyoncé Makes History with First Black Female Country Album Win

Beyoncé made history at the Grammy Awards by becoming the first black female artist to win the award for best country album. The honor was presented to her by Taylor Swift, who reminisced about when she won the same award 15 years ago.

Beyoncé is no stranger to Grammy recognition, with a total of 11 nominations this year, including four in the country division. She also picked up an award for best country duo/group performance alongside Miley Cyrus for their collaboration on “II Most Wanted.”

This achievement marks Beyoncé’s latest milestone as one of five powerhouse women nominated in all three major categories: record, song, and album of the year, alongside Swift, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
