Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has invested $700 million in AI chip startup Tenstorrent, valuing the company at $2.6 billion. This move puts Tenstorrent on par with Nvidia Corp., a leader in the AI business. Tenstorrent aims to challenge Nvidia’s dominance by developing its own AI chips. The funding round also saw participation from Samsung and LG Electronics, among others. With Bezos’ backing, Tenstorrent is poised to capitalize on the growing artificial intelligence market, led by founder Jim Keller.
