Billie Eilish Sweeps 2025 AMAs with Seven Wins

Billie Eilish made history at the 2025 American Music Awards, sweeping all seven categories in which she was nominated – artist of the year and favorite female pop artist; album of the year and favorite pop album for “Hit Me Hard and Soft”; song of the year and favorite pop song for “Birds of a Feather” and favorite touring artist.

The win marks a significant comeback for Eilish, who had disappointing performances in the past year with her album “Hit Me Hard and Soft”, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard 200 but missed out on reaching No. 1. She also failed to impress at the 2025 Grammys, despite seven nominations.

Despite this, Eilish’s strong performance at the AMAs made up for the disappointments. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars were the runners-up with three wins each. The Weeknd and Post Malone tied with two wins each, as did SZA, Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Twenty One Pilots, Taylor Swift, and Chappell Roan.

Other notable winners included Gracie Abrams, who took home the award for new artist of the year; Becky G, who won her third favorite female Latin artist award. The Weeknd won his fourth favorite male R&B artist award, while Eminem extended his record-extending fourth win as favorite male hip-hop artist.

The AMAs saw a significant increase in country and Latin awards this year, with five awards each in these categories. The awards are based on key fan interactions, including streaming, album sales, radio airplay, and tour grosses.
