The Bitcoin network has reached a record low for its seven-day moving average of transactions, falling to approximately 317,000 on Friday, the lowest level since October 2023. Despite this decline, Bitcoin prices remain near all-time highs. A recent transaction processed by Mempool founder Mononaut at an ultra-low fee of 0.1 sat/vB through Marathon Digital’s Slipstream channel is a notable example of miners accepting transactions to fill blocks. The transaction was paid for just 11 sats ($0.01) after waiting a month in the mempool.
