The Black Eyed Peas announced on Instagram Stories that they are canceling their highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency, “3008 The Las Vegas Residency,” due to “current circumstances.” The shows were scheduled to take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in February.
In September 2024, the group revealed their new residency concept, which would feature Will.i.am, Apple de Ap, Taboo, and J. Rey Soul alongside an artificial intelligence presence named “Vida.” According to Will.i.am, Vida is not a hologram but rather an AI member that can engage with fans 24/7.
The group had initially planned to perform 15 dates through February, March, and May. However, the cancellation will result in full refunds for ticket providers automatically. The Black Eyed Peas will keep fans updated on future performances by following their official account.
Will.i.am expressed excitement about the residency project, stating that it would allow the group to “dream up something brand new and creative” while pushing the boundaries of live show experience. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas shows are now canceled, marking a significant change in plans for the Black Eyed Peas’ 3008 The Las Vegas Residency.
