Netflix’s popular dark satirical anthology series, Black Mirror, returns on April 10 with its seventh season. The new season features six episodes, a star-studded cast, and the show’s first-ever sequel. Creator Charlie Brooker promises that this season is “a little bit OG Black Mirror” – back to basics in many ways.
Fans will recognize that the final episode of Season 7, “USS Callister: Into Infinity,” is a sequel to Season 4 opener “USS Callister.” The episode follows Robert Daly (Jesse Plemons), who creates a simulated reality where he’s the captain of a starship. A new cast includes Paul Giamatti, Emma Corrin, Awkwafina, and Rashida Jones.
The season will also feature six standalone episodes: “Common People,” “Bête Noire,” “Hotel Reverie,” “Plaything,” “Eulogy,” and the sequel episode “USS Callister: Into Infinity.” Two of these episodes will be longer than usual. The release schedule is set for Thursday, April 10, with all six episodes available to stream at once.
To watch Season 7 of Black Mirror, a Netflix subscription is required. Fans can binge-watch or choose individual episodes.
