Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Legal Battle Spills Over to Marvel and Disney

Blake Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds and his wife have been at the center of a long-standing feud with actor Justin Baldoni over allegations of harassment and fat-shaming on the set of “It Ends With Us.” The drama has now spilled over into the world of Marvel, with Kevin Feige, Bob Iger, and Tim Miller becoming embroiled in the dispute.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has sent a litigation hold letter to Feige and Iger, demanding that they preserve all relevant documents related to the development of the “Nicepool” character from the movie “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The letter claims that Reynolds used the character to mock Baldioni in a scene, which features him playing an alternate version of Deadpool with misogynistic comments.

The dispute began when Lively accused Baldoni of sexually harassing and fat-shaming her on the set of “It Ends With Us.” Baldoni has denied the allegations, but Freedman believes that Reynolds was using the character to mock his client. The letter also claims that a rift exists between Reynolds and Miller, who directed the first “Deadpool” movie.

A litigation hold letter is often used as a precursor to litigation, and Freedman has hinted that he plans to sue Lively and Reynolds “into oblivion.” The dispute has already led to several lawsuits, including one filed by Baldoni’s former publicist Stephanie Jones against him and his team.
