Blake Lively Fires Back Against Justin Baldoni’s Attempted Deflection

Blake Lively has fired back at Justin Baldoni’s attempt to deflect attention from their on-set conflict on the movie It Ends with Us. In a statement released by Lively’s team, they claim that footage released by Baldoni’s attorneys contradicts his claims and corroborates Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment.

The video, obtained by TMZ, shows Baldoni and Lively speaking out of character during a scene in which they joke about his nose and her spray tan. However, Lively’s lawyers argue that the footage does not show consent or discussion between the two actors before filming the scene.

In her complaint filed on December 20, Lively alleged that Baldoni exhibited “disturbing” behavior on set, including touching her inappropriately and making unwelcome comments about her appearance. Baldoni countered with a lawsuit against The New York Times for libel, claiming that Lively’s allegations were false.

The latest development comes as Baldoni’s team launched a website featuring “all correspondence as well as relevant videos” that they claim quash Lively’s claims. However, Lively’s lawyers say this is an attempt to manipulate the public and shift attention away from the ongoing legal process.

Lively’s statement reads: “Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning.” The incident highlights the challenges faced by women in the entertainment industry, where they often have to take defensive measures to avoid unwanted touching or comments from their employers.
