Blake Lively Speaks Out After $400 Million Lawsuit Dismissed

Blake Lively has spoken out about the “pain” she felt after a judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against her, in which he alleged extortion and defamation. The actress, 37, took to Instagram on June 9 to share her message of resilience and determination.

Lively stated that she had felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including manufactured shame, and expressed her gratitude for those who stood by her during this challenging time. She also shared a list of organizations providing relevant resources and information for women’s rights and safety.

The actress’s lawyers hailed the judge’s decision as a “total victory and a complete vindication” for Lively. They added that they look forward to the next round, which seeks attorneys’ fees, treble damages, and punitive damages against Baldoni and others.

Lively had initially sued her It Ends With Us director-costar Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. The case is set for trial in March 2026.
