Blake Lively Sues Back After Justin Baldoni’s Extortion Claim

Blake Lively’s legal team has fired back at Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit, calling it a classic case of DARVO (Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender). The actress is accused by Baldoni and his production company of extortion, defamation, and breach of contract related to their film “It Ends With Us”.

Lively is represented by top law firms Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Her lawsuit claims that Baldoni attempted to silence her after she spoke out about alleged sexual harassment on set. The actress also accuses Wayfarer, the movie’s production company, of trying to smear her reputation.

Baldoni denies any wrongdoing but is seeking at least $400 million in damages from Lively and her team. His lawyers claim that Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds tried to “destroy” him and his team by leaking edited information to the media.

Lively’s lawyers have dismissed Baldoni’s claims, saying they are trying to shift the narrative to focus on the actress. They argue that the cast and crew had negative experiences with Baldoni, and Sony even publicly supported Lively’s version of events.

The dispute began in December when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation. Baldoni has since filed a 179-page lawsuit against her, as well as Reynolds and their publicists.
