Actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldioni have been embroiled in a contentious legal battle over allegations of sexual harassment and defamation. On February 1, Baldion launched a website that links to an updated complaint filed on January 31, which includes emails, texts, and other correspondences between the two parties.
The website’s “Timeline of Relevant Events” is a 168-page document that chronicles the behind-the-scenes conflict between Lively and Baldioni. The move has sparked debate about whether it will quash Blake Lively’s request for a gag order before it even reaches court.
According to legal expert Gregory Doll, launching the website now accomplishes two things: it gets the content out to the public ahead of any potential gag order, and it may persuade the judge that there is no reason for one because the information is already in the public domain.
The conflict between Lively and Baldioni began in December 2024 when Lively sued Baldion and his production company Wayfarer Studios on allegations of sexual harassment and a smear campaign. Baldion has denied the allegations, countersuing Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane on accusations of defamation and extortion.
The cases are now scheduled for trial on March 9, 2026. The judge in the case, Lewis J. Liman, is set to address “the appropriate conduct of counsel” after Baldion’s lawyer released footage from the It Ends with Us set to refute some of Lively’s claims.
