Blanche Calls on Young Conservative Lawyers to Join Justice Department Fight Against “Activist Judges”

A high-ranking official at the US Department of Justice, Todd Blanche, called for young conservative lawyers to join the fight against what he described as an “activist” judiciary. Blanche, deputy attorney general and former personal lawyer for President Trump, claimed that the government is being pitted against federal judges in a “war”. He accused federal district judges of defying Supreme Court rulings and criticized the bar associations that handle attorney licensing and disciplinary procedures.

Blanche stated that the department plans to start handling complaints against trial attorneys and prosecutors internally. He also defended the Justice Department against claims of politicization, saying that prosecutors are doing their job to uphold justice.

The comments come amid tensions between the Trump administration and federal courts. Administration officials have been accused of not fully complying with court orders. President Trump has publicly criticized federal judges, and House Republicans have filed articles of impeachment against judges who ruled against the administration.

Blanche’s remarks highlight the ongoing disputes between the government and the judiciary, as well as the role of the Justice Department in enforcing the law.
