Blue Ghost Captures Stunning Earth Photos on Lunar Journey

A private U.S. spacecraft named Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost has captured stunning images of Earth one week into its journey toward the moon. The spacecraft plans to reach the lunar surface in over a month, circling Earth for now by firing its thrusters Thursday. The images, which include video and photos of Earth, were released Friday. This marks Firefly’s first mission to the moon as part of NASA’s effort to return astronauts to the moon this decade. Meanwhile, another lunar lander from SpaceX will also launch toward the moon in January with plans for a March landing.
