Blue Origin Closes New Shepard Launch Due to Avionics Issue

Blue Origin postponed its uncrewed New Shepard launch on Tuesday morning due to an issue with the rocket’s avionics. The company stated that it was troubleshooting a problem with the booster’s electronics system.

The NS-35 mission, scheduled to depart from Launch Site One pad in West Texas at 8:30 a.m. ET, failed to start its live feed or provide updates on liftoff. Blue Origin has not yet commented on the issue.

Despite the setback, the launch will still carry over 40 payloads into space, including 24 NASA experiments as part of its TechRise Student Challenge program. The mission aims to provide three minutes of clean microgravity for a range of experiments from organizations such as NASA, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, and several universities.
