Blues Adjust Lineup Without Dylan Holloway’s Injured Lower Body

Blues Head Coach Jim Montgomery will have to make some adjustments to his lineup due to Dylan Holloway’s lower-body injury, which is expected to keep him out for at least a week. Jimmy Snuggerud is in position to benefit the most from this change.

In practice on Friday, Snuggerud was skating with Pavel Buchnevich and Robert Thomas on the top line, and he will likely start again on Saturday against Colorado. Montgomery believes that while Holloway’s injury creates some uncertainty, he has other options to rely on, including Zack Bolduc and Mathieu Joseph.

Montgomery will not split up his key lines, but Snuggerud’s skills and competitiveness make him an attractive option. He has shown promise in just two games and has the potential to be a valuable player for the Blues. However, Montgomery also acknowledges that playing every day in the NHL is extremely challenging.

The defense pairing remains unchanged, with Colton Parayko still out following knee surgery. Jordan Binnington is expected to start in goal on Saturday.
