BMW Unveils Limited Edition 8 Series M Heritage Model

BMW is introducing a new special edition of its iconic 8 Series lineup, the Edition M Heritage. The model will be available in five classic paint shades reminiscent of the original E31 8 Series from 1989: Bright Red, Mauritius Blue metallic, Cosmos Black metallic, Oxford Green metallic, and Daytona Violet metallic.

The M850i Edition M Heritage is only available on the Gran Coupe body style, which was unimaginable back in 1989. The car will come with a range of exterior upgrades, including an M carbon roof, M accent stripes, Style 859M wheels, and M Sport brakes.

Inside, the car will feature BMW Individual interiors with black full Merino leather and Alcantara, along with a matte-finish carbon fiber center console trim and special badges. The same heavily-loaded configuration will be available on all 500 units worldwide, which includes advanced features like the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond audio system and driver assist systems.

Production is set to start in November, with deliveries expected to begin early next year. Pricing starts at $130,400, making it $20,000 more than a basic M850i but $10,000 less than the M8 Competition.
