Bob Dylan Fans Get Exclusive Early Look at ‘A Complete Unknown’ Biopic

Bob Dylan fans gathered for an exclusive early screening of his biopic “A Complete Unknown” at the legendary musician’s hometown theater in Hibbing, Minnesota. The film, which stars Timothée Chalamet as young Robert Zimmerman, was screened to a nearly full audience, many of whom had personal connections to Dylan.

The event was organized by Molly Johnson-Marian, who wanted to give fans an early look at the movie. With her husband’s help, she arranged for a special screening and fundraiser, which included music performances and a silent auction featuring Dylan merchandise.

Many in attendance were born and raised in Hibbing or have ties to the community, including some who played music with Dylan or knew his family members. The audience was enthusiastic, with many singing along to the credits of the film.

The movie itself made few references to Minnesota, but its themes of identity and creativity resonated with fans. Chalamet’s performance as Zimmerman was praised by local musicians, who felt that he had captured the essence of Dylan’s early days.

As “A Complete Unknown” prepares for its release on Christmas Day, fans are eager to see it again in Hibbing, a city that has long been synonymous with Dylan’s legacy. The biopic will return to Mann’s Cinema 8 in Hibbing after its holiday run.
