A piece of music history was sold recently, with two pages of old paper containing draft lyrics to one of Bob Dylan’s most famous songs fetching $508,000. The sale also included a 1968 oil painting and an old guitar signed by the folk musician. The lyrics, written in 1964, were part of a larger collection of items up for auction at Julien’s Auctions. The sale was made public as a new film about Dylan’s rise to superstardom, A Complete Unknown, debuted in December 2024, and has taken over $54 million at the box office.
