Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect for New Hope Residents

A boil water advisory has been issued for residents of New Hope, Crystal, and Golden Valley due to a malfunctioning valve on a water tower. The issue occurred overnight Saturday night, causing temporary drops in water pressure.

Crews are working to restore water service as soon as possible, with staff having already reopened the valve by Sunday morning. However, officials have advised that the advisory will remain in effect for at least 24 hours, pending further testing and clearance from the Department of Health.

Residents are urged to use bottled water or boil tap water before consuming it for drinking, cooking, and personal hygiene until the issue is resolved. The cause of the valve malfunction is currently under investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future.
