Bonobos Solve Snack Puzzle with Human Partner

Bonobos recently solved a simple task of finding a snack hidden under one of three cups. However, their human partner’s lack of knowledge posed a challenge. To compensate, bonobos took initiative to guide their partner to the correct cup. This proactive approach was effective, as the bonobos could identify when their partner was unaware and made adjustments accordingly, according to Dr. Christopher Krupenye at Johns Hopkins University.
